Abiraterone acetate is an active compound present in the medication named Xbira and it belongs to a family of medications known as androgen biosynthesis inhibitors. Xbira is available in the form of a tablet with a strength of 250mg. This tablet is prescribed for the treatment of Prostate cancer and it works by blocking the activity of an enzyme (CYP17) that is responsible for the progression of androgen.
