Overview of Perfecine 

Perfecine is a formulation of Pirfenidone, an orally active small molecule drug. This medication is available by prescription for the treatment of patients diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (a rare and progressive disorder of the respiratory system). The regimen is available in the form of tablets for oral use by Arechar Healthcare in a fixed strength of 200 mg. Perfecine (Pirfenidone) tablets belong to the categories of drugs known as antifibrotic agents and antioxidants. This medicine comprises anti-inflammatory properties and is associated with gastrointestinal adverse effects. It is prescribed for use usually with food to decrease the probability of side effects. Perfecine tablets should not be administered in patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the ingredients present in the regimen. 

The active ingredient of Perfecine tablets is Pirfenidone. Its inactive ingredients are titanium dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, magnesium stearate, polyvinyl alcohol, iron oxide, croscarmellose sodium, polyethylene glycol, talc, and colloidal anhydrous silica.
